Happy February!

Happy February!

Now that everyone is back in the swing of things, we are so excited to announce our February events! Events are a great way to meet new friends and get to know your neighbors. Plus, there’s always free food! REMINDER: We have several floor plans already sold out for next year. If you are interested in renewing, please come talk to us before it is too late! Stay Classy, Milwaukee. -The Marq   Maintenance Tips PLEASE do not open your windows during winter, and never leave your heat under 55 degrees, even if you are gone! We had a pipe freeze and burst in the suites in January due to someone leaving their windows wide open and heat off over the break, and it flooded several apartments, affecting multiple residents. Please do your part! Please note, smoking in your apartment is NOT allowed. Smoking in your apartment can carry a fine of $100 per resident and lead to eviction. There is no smoking allowed in the parking garage, stairwells, or within 30 feet of any entry door to the buildings.   Reminders & Updates Electricity bills are split per the number of residents in each apartment. Bills will be posted to your account by the 1st of each month, so please make your payment when you pay your monthly installment. Remember, you can write one check for rent and electricity charges. If you have any questions, see the management office. Locked out of your apartment, neighbors being loud, or have an emergency? Please call the Community Assistant on call at (217) 304-2533 for any emergencies. Available from 8 p.m. to... read more
Happy New Year

Happy New Year

BRRR! It ought to be a cold one here in Milwaukee! We hope you’re all having a wonderful winter break at home and enjoying a break from the library. We have some great events coming up this month and hope that you all can make them. REMINDER: Classes start on January 19, and the Marq has your back! Be sure to swing by the office for a special treat on your way to your first day of spring semester classes. Stay Classy, Milwaukee.   Special Highlight Please note, smoking in the unit is NOT allowed. Smoking in your apartment can carry a fine of $100 per resident. There is a courtyard for your convenience, and there are some smoking poles out there to dispose of cigarette butts. (Remember, we are a pet-friendly community — we don’t want our furry friends eating them.) We are aware that the exit gate from the covered lot has been broken. Unfortunately, due to a resident collision with the gate, the entire piece must be refabricated and custom built to specifications. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and are working diligently to remedy the situation.   Reminders & Updates Electricity bills are split per the number of residents in each apartment. Bills will be posted to your account by the 1st of each month, so please make your payment when you pay your monthly installment. Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

Winter (break) is coming! We’re going to have tons of events the first half of the month to make sure you are all ready to go for finals week. We hope you newcomers have enjoyed your first semester with us and are considering staying another year by renewing. Remember — spaces are limited, and we are full on three floor plans already, so come reserve your spot today! After finals, we hope you all have a safe drive/flight/train/boat ride home, and have some time to enjoy your holiday season! Lastly, we want to send our best wishes to our Resident Director, Ryan Dragoon, as he will be pursuing future endeavors later in the month. We thank him for his amazing two and a half years of service and hope the best for him! Best wishes, The Marq   Maintenance Tips Please note that maintenance does not take out personal trash. Please take any personal trash to the trash room on each floor and any large cardboard items to the recycling bin located near the parking gate entrance by the lofts.
